Hello,

Can anyone help me choosing the NOC? How should I choose it? I am an electrical engineer working in Telecommunication + Networking field. My designation is Operations & Maintenance Engineer and working in Network Operations Center. Most of my work is related to monitoring, transmission, LAN, WAN, Router, Switch Data Center, MUX, Media Gateway, international Calls, national calls, Internet/ Data traffic, etc. Most of my job description matches with the Computer Engineer background. So I am very confused. Though I found '2241 Electrical and electronics engineering technologists and technicians' matches a bit considering I am an Electrical engineer. But '2281 Computer network technicians' matches more but it requires Computer Engineer! What to do?

Degree in not relevant. Most likely 2281 is correct NOC for you since you work in telecom. See if your duties matches the NOC description. If you have BBA and still provide duties for NOC 2281 written in your reference letter, they will accept you.

U can apply without any hesitation as long as ur job duties matches with NOC 2281.....

Even u dont have relevant education/ job title, u can proceed....

You do not need to have an account to issue the CA$ 550 Canadian Permanent Resident Fees demand draft. At the most they might charge you Taka 500 extra for not being their customer.

Please go to SCB Kawran Bazar or SCB Dhanmondi or SCB Gulshan or SCB Motijheel or SCB Uttara. They are very much aware of the CA$ 550 Canadian Permanent Resident Fees. They will provide you the list of documents to bring. Go to the bank the next day with the documents they have asked for. You will have your Demand Draft ready in 30 minutes. Dont forget to ask how much money (CA$ vs Taka exchange rate) + Bank charges to bring in cash.

I followed this post for my visa fee payment but the information is not 100% correct!!

1. Don't go to SCB Uttara Branch for DD issue because they don't provide this service!! ( I went to the branch and they refused me to provide this service and told me to go to SCB Gulshan-2 Branch)

2. Don't go to SCB Gulshan for DD issue on a Sunday, because they don't issue dd on Sundays (I went there yesterday and they told me to come back on monday-thursday)

3. I have an account with SCB but it was unused for a long time so i wanted to pay cash for the DD, guess what. YOU CANNOT DO THAT!!! you have to pay through your account! I don't know what happens if you don't have an account with them. But if you have an account don't bring cash. Put it in the account they will charge it from there.

I guess this will be helpful for others as i saw many of the applicants today @ SCb Gulshan

please let me know whether it goes to the Fixed deposit area or Current account area, if it goes to Fixed Deposit Area, then how Y area to be filled up for FDR, and process to include since it will be of great assistance to me.
