do you know how long does it take to hear back from CIC? will it be from Singapore or CIC directly?

yes, it will be from Singapore directly. I heard instantly from them confirming my file submission and file number. Then I heard from them after 12 days for my medical call. I think TRV takes only 14 days as per Singapore CIC website. So you will get it by then hopefully.

and did you have any impact by the Strike?
No
The strike has less to no affect in study visa.

Just sent our passports through courier (from USA) to SVO.......Had included a return envelope as per advice from Nirvit. I have updated my changed mailing address in cover letter along with the mail.

Please pray to Allah for swift return of our passports along with VISA as we are at abroad.

I bought ticket through my known travel agent where route is Dhaka-Doha-London-Edmonton. Connect is also fine, only 1.30 hours doha and 3 hours London. Ticket price is 107000 adult +86000 child.

I submitted my explanation to CIC but they did not inform anything to me. So, I really dont know how long it will take.

they say 5 working days. But ask them not to send it on your address through courier. Request them that you will collect hand in hand. Thats fasters and no chance of misplaced.
They never send to CIC, its our responsibility to send all the documents to CIC.
