Dear all,

I really need an information..In case I choose Cathy Pacific to fly to Toronto, it needs to transit through Hong Kong. In that case,
do I have to have a visa of HKG ? The lowest transit time is about 4 and half hours. But at HKG immigration website, they states that -

"All nationals are required to hold a valid visa for the HKSAR for whatever purpose (including those who are in transit and remain on the airside)." So bit curious on that.

Anybody please could help on this..

Thanks

Yes, you need a transit Visa every-time you change planes in Hong Kong. To avoid this you should avoid flying via Hong Kong.

Talk to the Cathay Pacific agency & they might help you to get a Hong Kong visa.

If possible, use Turkish Airlines or Emirates to go from Dhaka to Toronto.

Yes you do require a transit visa. Visa fees are 1800 taka/person, probably need 3 working days, with confirm ticket and the Canada visa.

Thanks a lot !

Right..seems the same applies to Jet Airways as well.. I noticed that $33 required for BD nationals to get the Indian visa. Also I heard getting an on-arrival visa sometimes are quite difficult...

Thanks again bro..

Hope that they consider "Hartal days" as working days..(or work on the weekends)..Otherwise nobody knows when the 3 working days will end.. :(

Hi,

In 2007 I used that airport to fly Tokyo from Dhaka. No such VISA required.

Cheers

Vi, jet airways a fly na korai valo, ami amar wife er jonno jet airways a flight book korsilam.
They are very stingy about meals.
I think you have to wait 9 hours (min) to get Mumbai-London or Delhi-London flights. Their flight schedule is not in time, always. Try to go via emirates, turkish, pia or lastly I will recommend cathey-pacific. don't fly jet airways.
