Alhamdullilah yesterday we reached Toronto safely. I am telling my landing experience.

Airlines: I took PIA for low cost and high luggage coverage. The PIA service and aircraft's are not bad. We took 6 luggage each of over 33 KGs without any extra cost for 3 of us (me, spouse and 6 years son). If you want to take more things from BD, you can chose PIA.
Can you send your travel agent number ??!! I am afraid about IOM service !! I send mail to them & call them several time but no response . :-(

Thank you for your inspiring feedback. I myself have been wondering about applying to a University. can you suggest me a good University preferably within 16000 annual tuition margin and located in a good area.

Dear Lovelorn, I cant suggest you one good University since there are many. Which one would you select depends on many factors like your preference of location, your choice of subject, cost, availibility of fund etc. In Toronto there're basically 3: University of Toronto(UofT), Ryerson University & York University. There are loads of others if you can go beyond. UofT is the best within Toronto both in terms of faculty, ranking & career prospect. So now you know that you have to do some research before you can decide which suits your pursuit best. To help you start with I may suggest you to go to the following link: www.aucc.ca. All the best! :)

Dear Rupa Apa,

I am a silent reader of this forum from long days. I saw most of the people happiness, sorrow, problem and lot other emotional act here and really feel that how this forum make the individual person together through this forum. Anyway, i was applied for Canada in 2010 (Can't mention the month accurately). I got MMR on July,2012 by courier and completed the MMR on 21st July, 2012 and MMR was received to the Manila on 23rd/24th July. I had sent my landing fees with other documents on 4th August,2012 and Singapore office received it on 7th August,2012 by "BRYCE"(May be the received person name.). Singapore VISA office had en-cash my landing fees on August (Can't remember the date).
In the MMR my Children name was printed wrong which was not according to the passport and birth certificate and i sent an application to Singapore office as a notification of the mistakes. I sent several mail to Singapore VISA office for the status of my application and after a long days they replied of my mail which is as below:

"Medical for Ishal Alishba is still outstanding.

We trust this information will be of assistance."

After that i had sent several e-mails to SGVO but couldn't get any reply from them.
Now,, I am feeling hopeless and don't know what should i do to know about the status of my Application, what i will do for my next step.

If you or anyone from the forum could give a proper suggestion what should be my wise step to know my application status and how it could be possible from my end to get the help.

Ramon

Hello Ramon! I'm not clear about one thing...did you send the medical of your child together with yours? If yes, they should not reply that your child's medical is still pending or outstanding. If you haven't done your child's medical yet, do it fast. Notify Dr. Wahab's clinic regarding the spelling mismatch & I believe they will know what to do. Don't worry about spelling mismatch on medical request letter cuz visa will be stamped on his passport not on that letter.

However, if you are done with your child's medical then you should immidiately order for GCMS report of your file in order to find out what actully went wrong.

Dear Rupa apu,
Thank you. I hope you will not mind me taking the latitude of calling by your name given the warmth with which you have replied to my queries.
Actually I am already working on the things you mentioned to have some research on. University of Toronto is the number one ranked University and thus a little scary for me to aim for let alone its not-so-family-friendly tuition fees. Thinking about applying to bachelor of Human Resource Management of York. I am also considering University of Winnipeg. :)

Oh I don't mind you calling me Rupa Apu (I mean why wud I?!)

UofT is costly but you'll get along with many of their scholarships & bursaries once you receive an offer for admission. So maybe you shud give it a try. Some of the subjects have co-op options with paid work terms. Also check out Queen's, Mc Master, Waterloo & Wilfred Laurier. University of British Columbia is also one of a few best. Don't know much about Winnipeg though.

No sir! Husband will have to wait till wife and spouses medical reports are available to CIC. I am still waiting for PPR while other applicants already got PR visa.

After receiving the Passport request letter, in how many days do I have to submit the passport to VFS ? I might be going to another country for a few days, so if the passport request letter arrives during that time, how many days do I have to come back to Dhaka and submit the passport to VFS ?
