Go to the IOM office physically. He is receiving hundreds of phone calls/missed calls daily. It may not be possible to call back each person.

So, go to the IOM office physically & talk to them.

Such offices receive hundreds of missed calls & emails per day. So, I shall not be surprised if they simply just did not have the time to reply back to your SMS or reply to your email. Hence, physically going there is the best option you have. But, they might be closed/lesser attendance due to the hartals. This week there are 3 days of hartal (Monday-Wednesday). So, you might have to go there several times before really being able to get in touch with them. If they do not allow you to enter, tell you are looking for Mr Jahangir, then they wil call up Mr Jahangir.

Ext. 379 is his extension. I think you will get him with this no. I got him with this number , when i failed to reach him on his cell phone.

Hello,

I am pretty new to the forum, in fact just registered. I am holding an offer from humber to study Bachelor of International Development. Guys, I need some help regarding my Visa application. Here is my portfolio:

I attended Khulna University to study BBA but dropped out after completing two years that is four semesters due to some personal reasons with 3.58 cumulative GPA back in 2011.
After some considerable gap, took SATs and got 1870 (CR:630, M:650 and W:590) in Nov, 2012.
Took IELTS and scored 7.5 last month.

Now, I am going to attend bachelor level education at Humber. I am really concerned about two factors that might weaken my Visa application:
1. I dropped out of a University before.
2. My sponsor is going to be my uncle (who has more than enough means to suffice financial obligations) instead of my parents.

Can someone help me assessing my chances in obtaining Visa? Your valuable suggestions can help me strengthen my application and SOP.

Hi Guys,,

Is there any form to declare ‘money to follow’ at POE to get the tax free facility later on? This will be in addition the amount I’m carrying with me. Can I declare any amount, or there would be limitations? Will there be any limitations on time? Like, by when the amount should enter Canada etc.

Actually I am not sure about how much money I can bring later on and when, but just want to get that ‘Tax Free Facility’.

Thanks

Zahid

When your money is tax paid in your country, it is White and you can carry the money any where, it is tax free there. Like Bangladesh, if it's remitted from anywhere outside it's tax free, no one ever asks any questions, they are happy. The issue now a days is for different fundamentalist/ terrorist active groups after 9/11, they follow big money transfers internationally. That's why they want us to declare before hand, how much money is available to tansfer later on, and that's the form we filled for available fund with proofs.

virtually there is no limit I think. My sister lives there for last 3-4 years and my brother inlaw keeps on visiting, as they have 2clinics here in Dhaka. He earns here and sends money over there at Toronto, for last few years he has carried more than 80,000 CAD in different spells, has bought a business there even. So you can actually bring your legal money over there, should not be a problem, but it might be physically you, never through wire/ bank transfer. That's not possible, Bangladesh Bank does not permit. Best regards.
