Dear Khan14, I just liked to share my experiences. Recently I sent my passports (with landing fee) to SG office using Fedex. They took 7 working days to cash the bank draft and put the visa sticker.
Fedex returned my passports at my home. All together, it took only 2 weeks.
If you already paid the landing fee (that CAD490/person), I believe it will take less time.

Hope that would help.

Thanks

Are you residing in bangladesh? For Passport submission from Bangladesh, we have instruction to use VFS service, which is secured and includes obtaining authorization from Ministry of Home affairs for sending PP to and from Bangladesh. It's stated in Appendix B attached with every PPR. I m not sure whether anyone in bagladesh submitted their PP thru DHL/FEDEX or other courier. As the Visa office recommended VFS service, is it necessary to take risk to hand over our valuable passports to other parties?? No idea... It's just my view. Experienced will surely clarify.

3 Working days as shared from our forum mates. One apa went there by Tiger airways, landed 3.30 am, went to SGVO 9 am on a Monday. They returned stamped passports Wednesday afternoon. She came back the nextday 6.05 PM. (If I recall correctly).

Tiger airways had been the cheapest USD 426 return from Dhaka. Any baggage extra 20 USD. Issue might be to avail that fare in a short notice, which apparently lead to 2-3 weeks. Otherwise fare is 40,000. So many issues to consider!!!!!!!

Thousand apologies, should have mentioned earlier..I applied from Malaysia, as I am living there.

VFS service seems only available in Bangladesh..therefore not much choice other than to physically go there and staying there for not sure how long..

I have declared (in the waybill) about the items inside my package, and put a Fedex envelop and completed return waybill, when I send that package to SG. They are really good at it as it just took one day to deliver. May be because of the close proximity of the two countries. (btw, an account has to be open with Fedex to get that service (called remote pickup), which requires a credit card)

I took that risk, because, I haven't heard anyone missed their Passports by them.
My father even asked me to back BD and then submit it, but I was just hoping for the best .. :) :)..also, I thought this is much better than SGVO to send by general registered mail system.

And I was really surprised to see the Fedex guy knocked at my door! Cos SG didn't inform me anything about when they are sending my passports..So great joy at last :D

One more thing about SGVO, I found them are very helpful, in that sense, they responded my emails (though delayed) if those really need to clarify something..Some others, which I realized later, not much important and they never replied..

Hope this would be helpful for those who are applying from outside of Bangladesh.

Thanks
