It took only a couple of weeks after applying to receive MR. Why wud it take a year? It's like TRV. However it's multiple entry visa by nature.

Missed a few points....the person inviting his/her parents must meet minimum income requirement as specified in CIC website as LICO or Low Income Cut Off. You also need to buy health insurance valid for at least 1 year with a minimum coverage of CAD 100,000.

Yes, i gone thru the section of cic site. Minimum income limit (for no of persons (parents/grand parents) invited) given there, that must be met by the inviting person.
