It could be well known to those who have already got visa or moved to Canada. Is there any problem if someone gets visa for his spouse and children but moves to Canada alone? In an unknown place anyone, who has no close relative may fall in tremendous doldrums. so, is it possible to taking one's family a couple of months later after being settling down there first? What kind of problems one can face in such a situation. Please inform me if you have any idea. Thanks.

Canadian $ is better. If possible, induce it in PP. If not, take few CAD$ with off the record, and some US$ induced. You can induce US$ upto 5000 per adult and most probably upto 2000/2500 US$ for dependent.

Yes possible, a family member could arrive 1 - 2 weeks before the rest of your family. This person could stay in a hotel or hostel for that short period and find appropriate accommodation for the rest of your family.
