Dear forum members, a good news to share. I've received my visa and planning to fly as soon as possible. Alhamdulillah
Thanks for being with me. It took 3 years to finally have it in my hand. So those who are waiting at different stages,
wait patiently. Insha Allah success will come.

I'm planning to fly by next 15 days

PQR Vahi ....... Congratulation...... :D ;D :D

Why are you anxious. Please keep patience. according to the general guideline you will get the PPR by 3 months after receiving the medical/rprf other docs by imm office. if you dont receive any notification by 3 months then send CSI. Most of the ppl i see in this forum get PPR by 2-3 months.

For your info, I received PPR after 7 months. So dont worry! Wish u all the best.

/Talk

Thanks for your suggestion. Anxiety is a natural phenomena. We can't help it. But, in most of the recent cases it took 30-45 days to receive the PPR after the medical updated. Anyway, I am eagerly waiting for it.

Why U wait for three years? Why it took so long time???

Ziauddin bhai, you are in the wrong forum.

This is not for International Students. 8)

This is for PR (permanent residency) applicants. For PR you need to wait for 2-5 years.

Thanks Zia vai.
I also got mails from Sheeva and ayesha with so many links and web addresses.
Really dont know where to start from... ???

My suggestion is, if you have a couple of months before flying to Canada, start the IPSO session immediately.

Also, register at career cruising and start a little job search. That will give you idea what kind jobs are available and what are the requirements.

Some jobs require credentials to be assessed. In that case register with WES and start the credential assessment process.

According to me, these are the most important things to pickup from the CIIP session.

there will be occupation bar but IT is most likely to be in the list, you should be eligible since you seem to be an expert in IT. As for the educational certificates, it must be evaluated by an agency appointed by CIC and the names of these agencies will be declared in coming april

Thanks a lot for your comments Bhai and Congratulations!.

The Canadian Immigrant Integration Program (CIIP), is a federal Govt. of Canada funded program which provides overseas orientation that helps immigrants find appropriate employment faster and gives employers better access to newcomer talent. CIIP India is planning to deliver another session in Dhaka, on March 2013 so register with CIIP ASAP.
