Got my visa yesterday morning! I submit it in person on Feb 4 and collect it on Feb 7.

MMH_BD brother, If I were given a chance to chose any of the countries in the world for living as an immigrant, I would have chosen Australia first.

# Australia recognizes degree obtained from other countries but Canada does not. So, your Australian degree might not be any of use in Canada , if you plan to stay there permanently and build your career in future.

# Australia has a lot better climate compared to Canada.

# Australia is a good destination for Doctors . But Canada is not.

# Job opportunities are also lot better in Australia compared to Canada..

# 3 of my excolleagues, migrated 2-3 years ago, are now working in Siemens Australia, ABB, Australia with their Bangladeshi degrees where as , 3-4 classmates of mine migrated in Canada in same time are struggling with survival jobs and still studying with a hope of getting better job in future.

Well, the above are my opinion and perception only which may differ with others....

We missed this amazing get-together. Hope to particapate in the next one. The bullet points that have neen discussed are extremely important for all of us. Can you please share some details of the points, say waht is the decision/understanding on drivers license issue, medical insurance issue etc.so that we can have an understanding what to do on a specific case. Appreciate your response.

tentatively are (I browsed Emirates, tripbase, flight center, expedia, travel agent and today in the get together with 8 expert friends)

Without IOM: Emirates 89,000 Taka to 127,000 Taka (Depending on travel dates)
Turkish 70,000 Taka to 85,000 Taka

With IOM: Emirates 72,000 Taka to 92,000 Taka (Depending on travel dates)

Adda was great. The place was also awesome. Shumon bhai & Tareq bhai ke onek thanks to make this arrangment there. I thought before going, it would be boring after sometimes. But believe me, it was very enjoyable, fruitful and shared our feelings so closely. I think, it's because we are of same mentality, and going thru same situation. Everyone of us was so frank and open. Hhshumon, Dhaka121, rana22april, Sohel4math, Palash17, tarek bhai, - shobaike onek dhonnobad, to make this event so live and i am very happy that our virtual relationship turns into the real one today. I woiuld really like to participate such gathering again. Expect to meet some more new faces next time.

When I talked to IOM in the first week of January for flight on 6th April'13 their offer was-
Emirates-81,000-82,000 Tk (Aprox)
Turkish- 80,000 Tk (Aprox)

Then I requested for a cheaper offer on another day. Then they offered- for a flight on 11th April'13-
Emirates- 70,000 Tk (Adults), 53,000 Tk (Child)
Turkish- Around 65,000 Tk (Adult)

After 4/5 days, during the final booking their offer for the flight on 11th April'13 (about 3 month before the flight) was -
Emirates- 68,917 Tk. (Adult), 52,262 Tk. (Child).
Jahangir bhai informed that price of Turkish would be 4-4.5 thousand Tk lesser.

YES my status changed on Friday and I received a mail from VFS. VFS tracking shows that passport has been released on 8th February and it will take 2, 3 days transit to reach application center. I think we may expect to get it on Monday.
