Perfect Layering for Winter Workouts

What to Wear in Any Winter Temperature
Now that you have all of these clothes, how do you know how much to wear and when? My suggestion would be to experiment with what works best for you. Temperature is relative, so if you come from a cold-weather climate, a 50 degree run might sound hot to you. If you're from Texas, 50 degrees might be a cold day.

Everyone is different. My dad runs in shorts if it's 40 degrees Fahrenheit, while I would be in pants at that point. As a general guide for winter layering, follow this chart.

Temperature Base Layer Insulating Layer Protective Layer Accessories
> 50⁰ F Shorts + Shirt
(long- or short-sleeved) n/a n/a n/a

40-50⁰ F Pants
(cropped or full-length) +
Long-sleeved shirt Light sweatshirt (optional) n/a n/a

30-40⁰ F Pants or tights +
Long-sleeved shirt Sweatshirt or Fleece n/a Light gloves + Ear warmers

20-30⁰ F Tights (optional)
+ Long-sleeved shirt Pants + Fleece Lightweight jacket Heavier gloves + Hat

< 20⁰ F Tights
+ Long-sleeved shirt Pants + Fleece Lightweight jacket Hat + 2 pair gloves +
Neck/face gaiter

Thanks for Sharing Josh's Story. +1 for you. I read the full story. Well said by Qorax "This is a must read by all". Indeed. It is very heart-touching. So many things to learn from here. Requesting all, take time to read it.

Hi Nabila, so I moved to Canada from BD in September and also am preparing myself for the canadian banking line. First thing - in my opinion* - you will have to have in order to apply to the banks are either an IFIC/IFC - Investment Funds in Canada or CSC credentials, you can read up on these from here: https://www.csi.ca/student/en_ca/home.xhtml. I just passed my IFC exam and am looking forward to a Financial Advisor role in the banks (entry level sales-management line, starting salary over $35k annually). Until you pass your exams, which in turn also gives you a license to deal with investment funds, you are most likely stuck with a $18k annual pathetic Teller job at best.

IFC and CSC are not incredibly difficult, if you have good hold over english comprehension/critical reasoning and strong short term memory (slight memorization) you should be able to pass them without much difficulty.

*In my opinion: when you move to canada there are going to be thousands of advisors, each providing a unique angle and take on the subject - lol, just wait till you get here. I narrowed my feedback from friends & family who have already established themselves in the banking/financial sector here and have been quite successful in moving up the ladder to director/branch manager levels. So this is per their suggestion, I am sure there could be other methods which i am unaware of.

Another personal suggestion would be for one of you to immediately enroll into a university for specialization, the government will provide you with sufficient loans, read up https://osap.gov.on.ca/OSAPPortal, thus allowing one of the partners to sharpen their education while the other supports till the roles can be interchanged. Canadian/North American degrees are a must inorder to make progress in your career and thats the reality.

Hope this helped.

Helpful post. +1 for you
