Finally sent all documents and RPRF yesterday. Medical already delivered to Makati City , Philippines . Thanks to the fellows of this forum who helped me a lot in every step . I congratulate everyone who received MR, PPR and Visa lately and hope everyone who left receive theirs soon. This week was so hectic . One caution for my friends Never ever ever go to the Karwan Baazar branch of Standard Chartered Bank . The person who is in the charge of making DD is Rude, Arrogant as well as the Manager. They are son of ****. They will ask you for the Medical Report though you have the money receipt of medical exam .When you will say DMP will never provide you med report they will advice u to give some quick cash to the compounder so he will provide the report . If you can't provide the the medical report you have to make an application to the Bangladesh Bank showing the reason .. if they approve then they will proceed which could take 14 days to 4 months .. I was like . In my fierce I ran out of the door and headed to the Gulshan Branch where they didn't say anything weird like this . They just check my documents and find everything ok and gave me the draft in the same day . Anyways all went well at the end . Now eagerly waiting for the PPR .. Please pray for us friends .. !!!

The CAD rate was 84.7758 yesterday at Standard Chartered Bank and they will charge you $23 for the DD . we paid total 84,959 Taka . DD amount 83,080.28 taka (CAD 980) and their charge was 1,879 taka ($23)

One of my uncles who migrated to Canada, had a few CAD fakenotes (jaal taka) in the funds he was carrying. He exchanged his money from a branch of Sonali Bank. Can you guys suggest a Bank with branch or a good money exchange where the risk of such incidents are absent?

One of my friends has similar experience with this branch of SCB. The person in charge behaved with him supposing he is a money launder. ha ha ha

Better not to go to this branch, rather making DD from Gulshan branch is very smooth.

I also take my RPRF DD from SCB Gulshan Branch... The process was very smooth and the office had good smiley face.
