I have an account in Standard charterd bank at mirpur. Can I do it from mirpur branch ?

You have to do your medical first, then go for RPRF.
I think, mirpur br does not deal with foreign currency.
I found hassle free service in gulshan br and received the DD within one and half hour.
It is not necessary to have an account.
If you have an account, the amount will be deducted from your A/C.
Hope everything will be done easily.

You can make DD at any branch of SCB.If you go to Gulshan branch you'll get the DD on the same day, while you will get it the following day if you do it at Mirpur branch

It means that Your file is in pending review. I am also MI-2 and got same GCMS report last month. Nothing started..security, eligibility check, medical etc. That means still its in Review Que.

My view is...In October MI-2 will get some news. Not before that.

Thanks for your opinion. But when almost all the MI 2 post Juners have left the country even who applied in 2011, then whats wrong for us? For how many days will we be in Review Que? Does it indicate to any bad news? Please re-investigate and give expert opinions over the situation.

Can any seniro expert tell " how can I confirm that My medical has been received in singapore office properly"? today I went to Dr. Wahab office and found that there is no tracking of my name though I have completed my Medical on 19th July. they are in confuse what to tell me.

finally I talked with Dr wahab and he confirm that though there is no tracking of ur name but we send all of ur doc on 21th July.


But I wanna confirm it by other way.

All AD Branch (Authorized Dealer Branch), working in Bangladesh are bound (authorized) to do Foreign DD(subject to the availability of that specific currency). AD branch deals with foreign currency, but some AD deals with specific currency (which is unusual like Japanese Yen, DKK), but most of the AD branch do FDD. So u have to b sure about the branch whether it is AD or not, if it is AD they must do FDD (Foreign Demand Draft). Hope it will help.

Basically the officer hasn't yet made the initial review. So, of course this is a bad news in terms of time required. Let's hope and pray the review and subsequent steps occur bearing positive results. There are several reasons for being stuck in que. They include but are not limited to : :

1) MI-2 isn't a priority right now. MI-1 is/was being processed as per their 'que'. Logically, MI-2 should be next, but it is seen that Singapore VO is turning its attention towards MI-3. MI-3 is ahead of us by some weird Singaporean logic. (Good for MI 3 )
2) They have quota for visas. 1700 visas (includes applicant, spouse and children) per year, assuming average family size of 3, that's a total of 566 families only will get visas every year. Also note that Singapore VO processes PR applications for 11 countries in total. :-\
3) Most applicants of MI-2 who got their AOR letter from SGVO in the year of 2011 are in RBVO. 4) Economy isn't too great in Canada. People are getting laid off as it is. So, don't expect Ottawa to do anything about Singapore VO. Immigration is just not important to Canada right now. More evidence of this is found in Canadian job cuts, budget, temporary suspension of the FSW1 (NOC list) which was supposed to be out in June/July 2012.
5) SGVO has got too few visa officers and they don't like to work 'Fast & Furious'. They didn't like the movie either.

But, it's not all bad. There is light even in darkness. They say waiting gives the devil time... So, go ahead make use of time and spend it wisely with family and friends. Also enjoy your job, because unless you have Canadian education and / work experience, you are bound to go through lot of hardship in Canada. Don't hate me for saying it but this is what most landed immigrants say about the job market. Even after having a US degree, some people had trouble. So, SGVO is doing us a favor in some ways...aren't they?

CONCLUSION:
I still despise Singapore Visa Office . Hoping and praying that's what everybody's doing. Pray for others too along with yourself (kar dua lege jay bola jay na)
