Dear Hasib Bhai, sharing some Pre-landing homework below, please add if I miss something:
Things and documents you need:
1. Passport (with valid permanent resident visa) and/or travel documents
2. Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR).
3. Sufficient funds to support yourself and your family but if more than $ 10000 have to declare
4. Passport size photos. - 3 for PRC (both)
5. PR Card Application (IMM 5444E). -carry it filled pre-printed, for ease
6. Goods to Follow List (Form B4 / B4A). -carry it filled pre-printed, for ease. B4 for all and B4A for shipment issue. Goods Accompanying List in a table of things u r carrying on person (value & Totaled)(Link for B4: http://www.cbsa.gc.ca/publications/forms-formulaires/b4-eng.pdf)
7. SIN Card Apps Form (NAS 2120). -Not Needed at the Airport [later at Services Canada]
8. Native Driving License, If you are driving your car.
9. Picture for ornaments if accompanying with you & 2 copies list of goods (Could be B4’s Xerox copy)
Remarks:
• Please note that this document cannot be extended, therefore you should make sure to use it before it expires
• cash, securities in bearer form (for example, stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills) negotiable instruments in bearer form, such as bankers’ drafts, cheques, traveler’s cheques or money orders
• PR Card application (IMM 5444E) shall be done at the POE itself. It is part of the PR package [free] and the photos & details will be the same as you supplied for the PPR. PR Card/s comes back to us via regular post mail, in 3-6 weeks, avg. 4 weeks. It is 'advisable' to stay in Canada for at least 45 days, collect our PRC and then returns back [if you must].
• Personal documents - It is recommended that all documents relating to civil status, professional qualifications, medical history (immunizations, vaccinations and dental records), proof of funds, driver's license, previous driving insurance records, children's school records, etc, are prepared for the landing process.
