Dear SGVO ppl.....we have received our PPR in snail mail (Singapore to Bangladesh) just two days after my Ecas chaged to "Medicals have been received"....I am in 7th heaven. I give credit to the wonderful ppl of this forum, specially Dr. Hasib vai and Ziaul vai(who toild me the ways to get FBI clearence).Thank you all and believe me, if we can come this far then everyone will make it soon

Dear All Forum Members,

Finally my file status is showing 'IN PROCESS' .... I checked last week and was 'Received By Visa Office' and when I checked few minutes ago I found it as 'IN PROCESS'.... I am so happy couldn't express :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

So it seems that SVO is moving day ba day now... Its really good news for all of us... So thought to share with all of you... I guess all the 'IN PROCESS' file will move now for 'MR'...

CanadaLove, In_dhaka, Fortune2010 & other post June 2010 SGVO applicants whose status is “RBVO” for a long time:

Today, a good number of SGVO applicants got the status “RBVO” after a long wait. In addition, a good number of SGVO applicants who were stuck in “In process” got MR recently.
Therefore, it can be expected that SGVO applicants who have been stuck in “RBVO” status might get the status “In process” in no time...most probably within 12 June 2011.

lil worried due to canada postal dept strike. have any of you noticed this strike notification while entering E-cas?

it doesnt matter anymore whether canada postal dept is on strike or not...
Singapore postal dept is on duty & it matters..
I strongly beleive(inshallah), you, me, pulak vi, arasah vi would get our MR this week as the reason behind the delay was never processing delay, it was "Intentional". 8)

I will highly appreciate if you can provide me some advice regarding my POF. When I submitted my POF, it was slightly more than the required amount. However, since within these six months the value of Canadian currency against BDT is significantly increased, my given POF is slightly below the margin at this moment. Do you guys think I should send an updated POF or I should wait for their correspondence? I am wondering if it creates any delay in the processing.

SGVO will send via postal air mail...you need to notify SGVO as soon as possible regarding change of mailing address.. check-out e-cas, there is an option for changing adress..

RPRF: Which bank I can chose to get the BD?

Recently, we are being confused while choosing a bank from where we can get our bank draft(BD) to pay right of permanent residence fee (RPRF) as Singapore visa office lately returned some applicants BD (problem during encashment)

possible solution:

1. either get a BD from standard chartered bank
or
2. Get a BD from Commercial bank of ceylon.

As getting a BD from "standard chartered bank" might be difficult for many applicants, you can choose "Commercial bank of ceylon"
Commercial Bank of ceylon has correspondence with "United Overseas Bank Ltd," in Singapore & "Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce" in Canada. So, SGVO might not face any difficulty in encashing applicant's BD

Hi all,

I do need your comments on my case.

I came to Singapore in Jan 2010 and I sent my application on Feb 2010 for FSK. However, Singapore VISA office transferred my application package to Damascus, Syria for processing without asking me. After I searched, I found that, since before I applied, I was living in Singapore for less than 1 year (2 months), Singapore VISA office transferred the application package to Damascus which is responsible to my country of citizenship immigration to Canada ( I am from Iraq).

Since in Syria VISA office, it will take even more than few years for my case ( I have many friends who applied there), I am thinking to apply again for FSW in Singapore, because by now, I am living in Singapore for nearly 2 years and most probably the Singapore VISA office will process my case here in Singapore.

Please help me what should I do:

1- Should I withdraw my previous application and again apply? Or not I can have 2 the same application together in different VISA office.
