2. I don't know what kind of misuse is possible in case of IELTS. If there is some scope, I don't think that it has come to an alarming level. Otherwise, almost everyone would heard about it. Australia has already made at least 7 in each section of IELTS and I haven't heard any fraud reporting so far.

Proposed Changes to the Federal Skilled Worker Programs

Requiring a minimum level of language proficiency
A 2005 Statistics Canada study found that employment rates for immigrants increased with their ability to speak an official language. It also found that language proficiency had the biggest impact on their ability to find work in either a high-skilled profession or their intended field.

However, the current selection system only awards a maximum of 16 points (out of a total of 100) for high proficiency in the first official language. It is also possible for an applicant to be selected with little to no language proficiency if he or she scores well on other criteria.

CIC will consult on increasing the maximum points awarded for proficiency in the first official language from 16 to 20, and on establishing minimum language requirements, depending on the immigrant's occupational skill level. For example, managers or professionals would have a different requirement from tradespeople.

1st official language highest points requirement would be 20 which is now 16.

Less than 35 yrs olds will get the maximum points in age factor, that is: 12 points. points will be gradually diminish if age is above 35. no points for people aged over 50.

CIC will accept more technicians rather than Bachelors and Masters, Phd degree holders.

CIC is proposing to reduce the total number of points that could be awarded for work experience from 21 to 15.currently applicant gets full 21 points having 4 or more yrs of working experience, but the proposal is that applicants have to have more than 4 yrs of working experience to achieve 21 moints.

fraudulent Job offers which is popularly known as AEO would be more scrutinized.

So, doors would be narrower for people above 35, less English proficients, More Academic degree holders, Fraudulent AEO applicants.



There is still hope for all as this is just a proposal, CIC has mostl likely released this proposal notes to monitor the reaction among people and they will probably revise these proposals by adding or subtracting some points. Let us see what comes out in June/July 2011.

I don't have any idea about photo studio in mirpur area who are handling photos for Canadian immigration. I went to VIP Studio @ Gulshan 2, very near from my office.

You can talk to the studios of Mirpur and you can tell them photo size ( i can't recall exact size at this moment ). But it will be wise to select studio who has prior experience of taking photos for Canada immigration.

You can go to fuzi studio at mirpur-1, beside Grand prince and top of buterfly(probably) showroom. you will have to mention your purpose(canada purpose). By the way, I went there for my canada photo purpose.
