going through thousands of posts in other threads is time consuming and what you did is appreciable.
in the AOR's CHC Singapore infored everyone that Visas would be issued on priority basis but they never mentions what the priorities would be; my guess is : areas where Canada has shortage of skilled people, more IELTS scorers, genuine and solid PoF. currently its clear that 0213, Teachers, finance and accounting people are not welcomed as they were in 2009-2010. I wish there was a data or picture which could say how many migrants and of which NOC's are doing what after they migrated to Canada. this is for sure that the situation is shocking as Canadians dont hire people in white collar jobs without seeing any Canadian degrees in applicants. so the situation is understandable.
morever, Canada needed more money to be injected into their economy from these migrating people in 2009-2010 so they issued highest number of visas during that time. what haque said was right. their decisions do not change that much when the election is over. if CHC's around the world can stop issuing MR's and visas for the time being, then they can speed up the process anytime of issuing them once again in full swing.
Now frm Jan 2011 till Apr 2011 only 128 visas were granted through SG VO meaning around 32 visas in a month. Their target is to issue at least 90 visas per month and where they are in shortfalls.
Any source Haque? I can believe in words of mouth though.
Points claimed for relatives is one of the most liked ways by CIC as they believe that faster chances are more for migrants to get jobs and economically established if the migrants have financially well established relatives in Canada. At the same time, there is no reason to think 100% that an applicant wouldnt be successful in Canada without taking help from relatives if there is any.
Again, we'll have to abide by their decisions, not ours.
