Backlog CIC Permanent Resident Applicants Awaiting a Decision

Federal Skilled Worker applications received before the priority processing date of February 27, 2008* at the end of Dec 2012: 9,159 applicants

At the end of Sept 2012 it was about 11 000 applicants. During 3 months about 2 000 files were processed.

For the grace of almighty, today I received my passport with Canada visa on it.. ;D

That concludes my 6 long years of waiting !

So happy to get this..Probably flying to June.

Issue date is March 28 2013. Is it needed the original copy of PPR to submit passport to VFS ? Please confirm me someone.

IOM er price saves you almost tk 40000. This is awesome, but to avail this you have to work hard with them as they have the worst service, but I don’t mind when they gives me a chance to save this handsome amount. If you have 2/3 months time before flying, you can go with IOM. If you have less than 1 month, then it might be a bit difficult for you. As for the flight choice, nothing compares to emirates, and don’t forget to pick airbus 388 in dubai-toronto route.

Kathey pacific recently started 777 till Hongkong, (previously they had the Dragon Air's smaller 767 aircraft) but The issue is timing. They start 2 am from Zia, fly towards east and reach hongkong airport at 5.45 am. Virtually you can't sleep during this short flight and the connecting flight departs in 5 hours. The Hongkong- Toronto flight is the 4th longest flight in the world. :-X. Way too much. I think night traveling without proper halt is an issue for families with kids. Kathey pacific is known for it's good service though. Turkish would be just fine comparing cost versus service and transit is at Istanbul with just about an hour. You reach fastest by Turkish. Interestingly for prices you can explore PIA, as you can avail business class with only 1,54,000 taka return and it's the cheapest with one year open, they had a promotional fare, please check if it's still valid. You get 3 star hotel at Karachi any you fly in style. Problem would be the airport seal of Pakistan in your passport. Your might face problem visiting USA ;D. Otherwise it was superb according to few of my elderly relatives. The best is Emirates I guarantee, still the most expensive.

Thanks bro..and yes, it was on 17th May, 2007, when I submitted my application.

Just got the visa on 26th of March (so roughly 6 years or 71 months !) .. :-[

But got it at last..
