Dont worry, the baggage will automatically avail the connecting flight and its the airline's responsibility to take care of the connecting passengers'. Its none of the passenger's issue (while you have already reported). They are bound to provide you accommodation and lodging till the next available flight ether its the next day or the next 4 days. Relax!!!!!!!!
For every ones kind concern, if you miss your luggage along with your flight, fill a form claiming compensation at the very airport and give your desired address and contact in the form. You will get paid 30 USD/ Day as compensation ( its IATA rule) and the airline will get the delayed luggage to the designated address, by themselves, I assure you. (Not valid for Dhaka inbound passengers, i wonder :'() why?.
I wrote previously in the forum, its too difficult to avail the connection within 1 hour 30 mins. And its almost impossible with kids and family.
Just to be on a safer side get your essential staff (medication etc.) in your cabin luggage that you carry. Never carry any liquid more than 100ml. In any form (Perfume or body spray, Shampoo, anything at all, they will through all these away). Carry 1 dollar notes, at least 5 to 10 USD (As dollar coins are not excepted most of the places) so you can buy essentials at transit. Save some extra airline food (Juice and dry foods) in your back pack just in case (Ask the crew politely that you might require some extra, at transits for long hours, they will be happily serving you, they are used to these sort of requests, not to be ashamed of).
One most important thing is, never forget to reset your watch to local time (then you miss the plane), as all the flight times are in local times, so follow the local time.
