Important point to all !!

In general and most of the times Canadian employers contact previous employer(s) of a job seeker. This is a suggestion to all. Please leave your local job in good way. Do not keep anything outstanding - most important keep good relation with your superior and head of the department. Before leaving ask them if you can use their reference and request them to give strong recommendation if any inquiry comes.
As I remember at least two times I made recommendations for two of my juniors - Thanks God both are doing well. For one inquiry made one year after he joined to his job.

I want to change my Manual Passport to Machine readable passport. Can I change my permanent address from Barishal to Gulshan address (NB:I use Gulshan address as Mailing Address in schedule & My dependent (Spouse & Child) permanent address is Gulshan).

Seek ur advice n comments.

NB: today I have sent all documents (Police Clearance, schedule , PNWS, PRF) to Singapore & done our medicale on 30.10.12.

it's simple,

pay 3,000/- for normal procedure [6,000/- for urgent] to sonali bank......make photo copy of your birth certificate or national ID......go to passport office......submit form [u have to take a long que...if u wanna avoid long que, go after 11am]......scan fingure prints......take photo......take receipt......it will take about 2/3 hrs......again go to passport office after getting sms from passport authority or after 7/10 days the date showing on the receipt......submit the receipt......they will call your name......take your new passport....thats all........NO NEED TO LOOK FOR ANY DALAL.

n.b. you have to bring the original copy of birth certificate or national ID & your preveous passport at the time of submitting MRP form & you have to bring your previous passport at the time of receiving new MR passport...if you want to keep your old passport then you neer to endorse that with the new one...again it will take about 2/3 hrs...

You fill up 1 copy Form (For new passport fill 2 copy but for machine readable from manual then you need only one copy), attested by 1st class officer or any army person, deposit 3000/- for 21 days or 6000/- for 7 days. Drop your Form at passport office. they divide area so before drop know ur area & go to the right area office. Use army officer reference then it will be faster than normal time !! :-X

Seems like there is a pause in MR issue

I am also thinking about that. Do they maintain in this proces first come first basis, I mean as fast as final application received, MR issue will be faster. I have seen one of my freind applied for same category after one month of me but he received MR though his initial application was 1 month earlier than me. Also my application is in process one month earlier than him.

In the PNW statement format (provided with the MR docs.), Assets only includes 1. Current & Savings Accounts, 2.Fixed Deposits, 3.Property, 4. Stocks,Shares Bonds and Trading commodities. But the problem is, Part of my fund was shown earlier as PF & Gratuity held with our (my, & my wife) companies by providing certificates from our companies. Looking for expert's opinion, how can I show our companys' PF & Gratuity fund in PNW statement. If it cannot be shown in the PNW statement, I m in great danger then.

Show it the way u showed before. I think, probably your company's Finance Dept. will issue a letter stating the amount u have in PF n gratuity with date of joining and maturity date etc.

If you change mailing address then you should notice them but in case of present address then what will happen.? I use mohammadpur address when I applied but now I am living Banani for 2 years. but my mailing address is same..So do I notify them ??!!?? Go to passport office. Deposit Tk-500/- at Sonali Bank. then meet with "Ansar Rezaul" infront of information Gate number-2. By giving Tk-1000/- you can change your current address within 3 hours.!! (Its an unofficial info !)

Alhamdulillah! Picked up my passport with maple leaf and COPR from VFS Dhaka today. I found number of people collecting their passports who also submitted through VFS very recently.

My dates are as below:

PP submitted to VFS Dhaka: 31-Oct-2012
VFS sent PP to SGVO: 31-Oct-2012
SGVO received PP: 01-Nov-2012
SGVO issued visa: 07-Nov-2012
SGVO released PP: 08-Nov-2012
VFS Dhaka received PP: 11-Nov-2012
Collection from VFS: 12-Nov-2012

there seems to be an option in this check list, it's Manila though!! how's yours??

Yes, you can change your permanent address to Gulshan. But they might ask for some relevant documents [I am NOT sure though about those].

Its great to hear that you have send all the docs to SGVO. Have you checked when your medical report was delivered to Manila? You can take the tracking number from the doctor's office and track the delivery.
