You can get PCC from any addresses (PERM or CURR) mentioned in the PP.

I have an query. In my passport my present address is in Mirpur(As I applied for Passport on 2009) while in my application it is Agargaon. What should I do now? Should I change my present address in my passport from Mirpur to Agargaon.

Please suggest me.

My suggestion, make change in the PP with your current address Agargaon. First, it will be same with your app add. Second you can get the PCC from the current address agargaon.

yes u can,I got it from my permanent address but it took 20-25 days,if ur present/permanent address is outside Dhaka metro-police it take more time to collect PCC (Near about 15-30 days)but in DMP it takes only 7 days

As per DMP website, one can get PCC from DMP, if one's Permanent Address or Present Address is within DMP area. It seems, there is no problem to get PCC against permanent address.

I can imagine the situation....but here DMP has nothing to do with the address. They are following just a copybook method for there control purpose. For everyone's case (I believe), they just mention the addresses in the PCC as it is in the PP.

To me, the solution is to change the current address in the passport. BTW, what is the current address you mentioned in your form? When the things are NOT in our control, we need to live with that.

Right. If one of your addresses is not in the DMP area, they have nothing to do.
In such a case, you have three options:
1. Taking PCC against permanent address.
2. Change present address in passport and get PCC against new address.
3. If you have relatives in the present address in your passport. Your relative can say to the police during investigation that you are living in that place. As you are not living there, police will demand more more money, but will give you the PCC.

thanks everyone for your advice. I will try to take a leave from office and go to the PP office, really need to do this quickly, as after getting the Police clearance we'll send it through VFS...Can I do the PR payment after applying for the PC ..do i need to show a copy of that in SCB?
