Please give me a straight direction!!! >:(
Thanks in advance. mthjay

as long as the money is yours, there's nothing wrong with encashing the FDR. the only thing that can happen is delay the process if they look for the money and can't find it, they'll ask for you and you'll have to explain the situation. so no worries.
but people, say it's better to keep it till PPR.
so, if u want straight direction>>> go with PQR!! ;)

strange!!
probably February'11 thing is the e-mail regarding PER and in MAY'11 u got the hard copy. June'11 is the 2nd AOR from Singapore VO.

If its not really required at this moment then wait for couple of months or till PPR..if its required at this moment encash it and you have your explanations so don't worry at all...

Dear Forum Members,

I Applied for CAIPS Notes and got the report. Need to know from you or any expert what does that mean by PSDEC 1 and SELDEC 4 in the report. Also what is the meaning of BF File to: VON On 23-12-2012?
Surprisingly saw that my and Daughter's Medical has been assessed but My wife's info is missing. Why So? Few days before SGVO asked for Schedule A form for myself and Spouse as my wife's info was incomplete. Could this be the reason?

Please note done MED on 7th July Now waiting for Canadian Police Certificate from RCMP. They also mention the same. My DD from SCB has been en-cashed.

Please comment if anyone has any idea about my queries.

Moving to Canada Checklist

1. Make sure you have all the essential paperwork for you and your family: Canadian immigrant visa or confirmation of permanent residence, valid passport, and a list of all the goods that you will be importing to Canada.

2. Gather your family's important documents such as birth certificates, marriage certificate, divorce papers, medical reports, school diplomas and degrees, college transcripts, etc.

3. Consider bringing in a copy of your credit report from your home country (if available) or bank reference letter. Although the credit history is not transferrable to Canada, this record will be helpful.

4. If you have a history of safe driving, ask for a letter of reference or history from your insurance company.
Find out as much as you can about the Canadian standards required to practice your profession and how to get your foreign credentials recognized.

5. Medical coverage: There may be a waiting period before you qualify for medical insurance. This will depend on the province in which you plan to take up residence. You may want to consider arranging for a private medical insurance for your family before you land in Canada.

6. Find out what you need to do to import your pets into Canada, and get their vaccines up to date.

7. Plan your monthly budget for living in Canada. Save enough money to cover living expenses for at least 6 months.

8. Open a Canadian bank account. Exchange some money for your arrival to Canada. Purchase traveler's cheques or transfer your money beforehand.

9. Make sure you will have clothing that is appropriate for the time of the year and the region you are moving to. Find out more about the weather in Canada

Good points. One easy way to save money. Goods are usually expansive there due to taxes. At first immigrants can buy good quality and cleaned items from Goodwill or Thrifty shops which are charity so sell used or even brand new items at just cheaper prices. Different times I purchased items for short use. This time also I purchased a suitcase at CN$ 7.- almost new but new one is $75.- good cloths or even electronic devices also available. Don`t feel shy. Important is to keep your expenditures within your budget.
