It would be nice to know time line of Lilcc & Vchalla too. It seems hf_2014 is the earliest PhD applicant in this thread followed by Sammoham, Zedd4x & Hbest. Myself is in between. We can expect early good news from hf_2014, followed by Sammoham, Zedd4x & Hbest.

Dear Friends, if you knew some other friends under PhD Stream, kindly share their timeline even if they are Oct or Nov 2014 Applicants.

It would be wonderful if 1st week of Dec 2014 PhD stream applicants (since one friend of Dec 5 Applicant is not getting any response from CIC), would share their timeline/ news/ response from CIC.

I just called CIC.
Unlike the last time, they did not tell me that we did not received your application.
However, they found it and told me the status.
Unfortunately, my application was returned today because the cap has been reached.
So, I have nothing to do but waiting for my application package .
Please keep us updated if you have any other news or if you call CIC.

If your (December 8th) is Returned!, all of us excluding HF_2014 [Dec 5], will have same outcome!

Are you sure! I do not think so, I do not believe these agents!

If some other Dec Eight Applicants will get same response or You get the Doc,

It is unusual, why they keep for 45 day if Cap reached before 8th Dec.

I just called, and this is what I got:
I asked for an update on the status of my application, the agent said he has no info on my application and it might be in queue for initial processing!
Then I asked if the PhD stream has been capped or not and he said yes it has!
I said then I should get my app back, he said I don't know!
I asked when did the Phd stream reach it's cap, he said I don't have that info.

Anyways I am confused but for sure we know that the cap has been reached and we all should expect our apps back this month.
Also I am frustrated by the wait time which totally makes no sense to me. And I'm highly disappointed with the so little and vague information they release. In the end how was the cap 227/500 in Nov17 and now capped?!

And how they found it the cap is reached after 47 days?! (the last one was 1 Feb)
I couldn't call, their line is super busy.

Lets try to call CIC by all of us, Expecting 3-4 more success!

Lets share CIC response like Sammoham & Nina84 Did:

Then we can reach to conclusion after 4-5 consistent response by different agent..

if CIC call centre agent found inconsistent ..then they might be wrong..as it appeared in other stream

Since in other thread, some are saying Cap reached, but in same NOC, they are reporting CC charged

Option:

1) Successful Call by 3-4 (i.e., total 6; half of 12) more PhD stream Applicants to know when Cap was reached, if response will be consistent--> We can say OK..By the x date PhD capped..Wait for Application returned..Try for EE

2) Or Wait till someone will get back application material with explanation letter, someone post CIC original Letter...Might take time as CIC will send by snail mail.

3) If some activities like CC charge etc obtained, we can assume Agents were wrong..Basically if they do not invest time after call & question, they used to be random, not reliable (according to other Thread)

I actually do not know what to say but I think we have no chance! sorry if I am so direct! They stopped charging PhDs from December 1st and it means PhD was capped
