Post-secondary program credential of three years or longer, you have to do ECA first if you got your degree outside Canada.katurik said:I have Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.
And iam into IT industry now .So under which education catgory i should claim points for EE.
1)Two-year post-secondary program credential
2)Post-secondary program credential of three years or longer
3)Two or more post-secondary program credentials AND at least one of these credentials was issued on completion of a post-secondary program of three years or longer
4)University-level credential at the Master's level OR an entry-to-practice professional degree. CIC only accepts as an entry-to-practice professional degree, those degrees issued in relation to an occupation listed at NOC Skill level A and for which licensing by a provincial regulatory body is required
University-level credential at the Doctoral level

There is no definitive guide, but IMHO you will be able to update your profile whenever you have new information. We'll find out in three days.ITCANHappen said:Thanks...Could someone with a broader knowledge on EE help on the below questions?
I know that EE needs a profile to be created. Do we know how we create this profile or CIC is yet to publish the details?
My friend is yet to appear for IELTS. He has the following bands R-6; W-5; L-6; S-6.5; Is he eligible? He is planning to reappear in FEB. Can he first create a profile with his existing IELTS and then update once he receives the latest scores?
Is there a standard resume format needed for EE?
If I do not have a job offer and I have a score of 350+ what are my chances?
I would appreciate if someone having more knowledge on EE post some links here so that I could study this further or point me to a repository if already maintained.
You should do a simulation on WES' website: https://www.wes.org/ca/preliminary/poe.asp?katurik said:But,we have Intermediate course for 2 years which is post secondary course. After that engineering should be considered as 2nd post secondary of 4 years. If this the case ,it should be

You can apply in EE as well.hossaingp said:I application for FSW was received on 16th December. And I'm not sure whether I'll be in cap or not.
My question is being a FSW applicant can I apply for EE in January or is there any restriction? Kindly reply.

I have joined this forum recently and would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this thread. It was very informative.
I have a couple of questions:-
1. Post Jan end, when would the next lot be happening for the EE?
2. I had sent the documents to WES almost three weeks back, and the status in their site still says "Waiting for Required documents". I live in India and the people from the postal department here have confirmed that the Post has been delivered in Canada. But further to that they have no information.
Is there a way i can track the documents that are being delivered to the WES?
Also, the WES process seems to be slower than usual, is this expected? due to the large volumes of applications that are coming in?
Thanks
Siva
