Fellas if your passports are valid for less than 6 months, better re-new them now. The PPR letter asks for your passport to be valid for at least 6 months and 2 blank pages. I have to run around and re-new my passport now cuz I got 2 months left on it. If only I had known this before..

My mailing address on the PPR issued is different from my current address. I don't know why they put down my first Canadian address and that was 9 years ago too. I have lived at several other places in those 9 years.. How can I go about and have my address updated by CIC ???

I wonder how strict they are about that. Call CIC, maybe since your inland they could be more lenient about it.

Hey guys,
Just got a question, I got an email from CIC as below, is that the final step of PR?
Than you if anybody can answer my question :)

The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. You must complete the following steps within [30] days in order for our office to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence and if applicable, permanent residence visa. If for any reason you are not able to meet this deadline, please inform us immediately by email and include the details of your situation.

Did you get bio data form when you received PPR??

Hello guys,

First update since April 15th .. my ECAS is "In Process"

MyCIC is still only on Medical "Passed" - Background Check "Not Started"

Hello all,

I have just received an email from MyCic.
No change inside Mycic except a new request for an information letter.

The 2 pages letter describes a 3 steps process to send the passport etc.

"Dear xxx,

Isn't it the famous PPR? :D

No other change: ECAS still 3 lines, medical received + MyCIC background in progress, no decision made
