First of all congratulations Aakash!!!
I have a few questions, would appreciate it if you may answer them.
1] Does the Visa have any expiry date? if so what is it? not necessary for exact date but want to know how much time we can get before flag poling.

2] You told that you are in the USA, so is it possible to just enter Canada for flag poling couple of days and return back to USA? The reason is that my case is some what similar, I am in europe and my job contract is until sept 2016. I cannot relocate to Canada before that.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Guys,

Can I ask a quick question.

I got a letter in my CIC profile today.

It says I need to fill out a biodata form and send our passport and passport photograph to CPC Ottawa.

I live in the UK and my wife is in Nigeria.

What do I need to do guys?

My EE Profile still says BG Check in Progress

Congrats Mexzie. I think you should send an email to CPC Ottawa to inform them of your locations and a request to direct your passport submissions to UK and Accra. All the best bro.

Do you mind sharing your timeline and updates on CIC & ECAS?

@hopefulguy

I did not keep tabs of my timeline but i can remember
I submitted my PR application around April 27th
There was no update whatsoever (not even Medical Passed) until 2 weeks ago
I got a message asking that I update my passport info page and also make some corrections to my UK Police Cert.
I submitted the updated police cert on Tuesday and got the letter from CIC today asking to send passport across....

My timeline has still not changed

1) Yes, it expires on 18 april 2016. Here is the copy of my visa: http://tinyurl.com/qg3sfer

2) Yes, I believe we can just enter for 1-2 days and come back. Just apply for PR card at the time of landing and give relative/friends address for PR card delivery. In order to renew the PR card after 5 years, you will need to be present in Canada for atleast 2 years. So, technically you can wait for three years after getting the PR and then move to Canada and maintain the PR.

My friend who got ITA on March 27 and submitted on April 29 got the request to pay RPRF this morning.
