ECAS - Application Received

My PGWP is expiring end of August, not sure if I should go ahead and apply for BOWP without 2nd AOR or wait until I get any updates and apply for WP extension just before it expires.

Confused to the core, any inputs from you guys?

I would go ahead and apply, you may never get a 2nd AOR, most people don't seem to get them. Lots of people have been approved for BOWP after having only gotten the 1st AOR, it depends on the status of your application when they process the BOWP. In any event since wait times are about 70 days to process your BOWP, if it does get rejected you will get notice just before your current visa runs out and then you can apply for BOWP again immediately and benefit from implied status while you wait again. That's what I'm doing: I didn't get a second AOR and I applied over 1 month ago

Thanks a bunch for your immediate response. Will go ahead and do that. Did you do an online application? What documents are needed for the application?

Yes I did an online application, you need a form IMM5710, form IMM5257, your passport with stamps and visas, proof of your medical exam and a scanned photo. You will get the forms when you start the online application and most of the stuff you need should already be ready as you'll have submitted the same stuff for your PR application

ECAS is currently Application Received

Patiently waiting

I am wondering if sending CSE's slow down the process even more :(

I've sent 2 of them, one with my birth certificate (which I didn't include in my application when I first submitted it) and one with my new passport info (copy of bio page)

I had to renew my passport in the middle of my EE process ??? I hope this doesn't affect negatively my application :(

Lets see what happens tomorrow (as Tuesday and Thursday are said to be the "ECAS update day" ;D)

Cheers guys.

Why did you send your birth cert esantos? That isn't required is it? Did you get a specific request for it?

Hi conor9900, you are right, it is not required but I sent it long ago, when we started seeing some applications being rejected for documentation missing, so I thought of sending it just in case since I knew i hadn't uploaded it. But then after there were discussions and more discussions on whether birth certificates were required or not and realized it isn't for the principal applicant, only for dependents...

So ya, I never got any request to submit my birth certificate, I was just trying to be proactive just in case they needed it ::)

What concerns me though is that the passport with which I applied on EE and got ITA is now cancelled and I have a new one, of which copy wasn't submitted with my application ???
I sent a CSE about 20 days ago for this matter and never got a reply from CIC :(

I hope my application is not affected by that..

I hear you esantos, this whole process makes you every paranoid. Every day I think of something I didn't send or read something on here that makes me worried about my application. But they don't seem to be sending applications back over small things anymore so I think we can be confident that if they need anything else from us, they will request it from now on

hi guys...

my friend got a passport request yesterday...

timeline: ita march 1
1st week of march completed all requirements.

overall timeline... 3 months and 1 week..

good day to all.. :)

Pure FSW (no LMIA, PNP or CEC) folks outside Canada, did your background check start yet? ??? My last update was on May 5th and one of my FSW friend waited after Mecidal passed for 2 months and no updates.

Also I filed the EE Tracker here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1IeR5iF7-R0aQ8IbgExLObajY8VajgzgIuyqOg0aEDus/edit#gid=924600149 And I appear to be the only early April applicant whose background check still didn't start :'(

I fell more confident with my BOWP application now, I got the same application condition like you.
Just don't know how many lines of my ECAS.....
My consultant doesn't copy that page for me....

You are the best!
