Not for me. I did find out from my company's HR that another worker who applied on April 9th got their PPR over the weekend. So, at least they are moving forward.
I also found out the status of a work permit they were applying for me based on my positive LMIA. A little background, my company had gotten me a WP based on NAFTA back in November before the CIC released the EE requirements. Once the EE requirements came out they applied for a LMIA for me an got a positive response. They then decided to apply for a new WP based on the LMIA so I didn't need to worry about it expiring before I got PPR.
Yesterday they called up the CIC because it's now over the normal amount of time for the WP to process and they haven't gotten an update. Well, the CIC told them it was refused on the grounds that they didn't upload my job contract. My company then had the CIC agent bring up the document list they sent HR and there was nothing about the contract listed for upload! The CIC agent acknowledge that, admitted they made a mistake and then reopened my file. They asked HR to just upload the doc and fill out a form which they did immediately. Hopefully I'll have answer in a few days as the LMIA expires at the end of the month.
Luckily this won't affect my PPR application as I applied using my NAFTA WP and the permanent job offer is tied to the LMIA which is positive, but it could have really messed things up. At least the bugs in the whole CIC system are consistent and they are acknowledging them. I'm also very lucky that I have a company that's willing to take the time to get this stuff sorted out for me!
