Hello everyone

I am startring this new thread about the processing time for Afghan applicant who wants to bring thier family dependent ,like spouse or childeren into Canada.I know that Afghans applications are processed in Islamabad visa office.It is sad they dont porcess any family applications in Kabul,Afghanistan despite Canada has huge embassy there.

Just wanted to ask how long is the processing time for spouse applicaiton.I am hearing here in Canada different things,some says it takes 32 months some says it takes 13 months.
if anyone has any timeline will be great to share.
everyone is welcome to join the thread specially my Afghans fellows.

The Following Procedures has been done with our Family Case, As Wife i Sponsored Husband & Three Children ( less than 22 age )

1 2008 Application Filled,
2 2009 DNA TEST Done,
3 2009-2012 Background Check ( Security Check ) Done,
4 2013 Medical Check Done,
5 2013 Interview Done,
6 Passport request for Visa Not yet Done,
7 Passport sent for Visa Not Yet Done,
8 Passport received not yet Done,

If your case is family case also then we can contact & exchange information Through Skype, Email or even Call.

I tried to send you an email but it looks your email is not correct. Is your husband sponsoring privately or he said he has family when claimed in Canada?
I talked with my lawyer she said Canadian embassy in Islamabad is one of the slowest:((

I am sponsoring my spouse i applied in november 2013 and my application was sent to islamabad after i was approved as a sponser but today I recieved an email telling me they have sent it to new dehli and in the email it states

"This notice replaces previous communications received detailing the routing the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s).
The Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to this office as part of an effort to improve service. All efforts will be made to process applications equitably, but it may be several months before your application is reviewed for further processing. Your family member(s) will be contacted by the visa office when the application is ready for processing."

I had some questions regarding my wife application.

1-she is in my application when I first claimed in Canada.I got DM the other day from CIC-V and sent me a link to dowload forms for my wife. how she should send the application and other supporting docuents to CHC-Islamabad.directly to embassy or ther is a courrier between embassy and clients?
2-The CIC has put wrong date of birth for my wife in the letter about the DM they sent my the other day. should I contact CIC-V again about this mistake or not?
3-How long it will take to process the application?

my wife is filling her application I need some help.

1- under which category she can send her applicaiton to visa office in Islamabad,Pakistan? family calss or protected person outside canada?
2-Is ther fee for her application to be processed by visa office?
3-and what is the best way to send the application, directly to visa section of the embassy or to Visa Application Center(VAC)

Its good having a forum to share the ideas. i want to know that can Afghan apply for spouse case from Delhi or only Islamabad. if someone had engagement but not have Nikah khat, how can start the spouse case? and what is the timeline for spouse case?
