Mead my letter of acceptance was issued in march, and it was conditional due to lack of ielts, after submitting ielts i asked uni for new acceptance letter but they denied ,so i applied with same LOA , but when i told them that embassy is asking now they issued me unconditional LOA, so iwant to know that what time usually added when additional document is sent to embassy, any idea

Yes it's a co-op program. Can now they do off campus part time from the 1st day ?

I am Sorry, I Have No Idea About Co-Op Permits.

But I Guess...

They can work With Some Restrictions .

well they cannot work for a parttime job(odd jobs) if ur asking that..if on a coop work permit they have to work for getting credits means related to ur studies....also college has to authorize the work term in which they can work.

like i said it will take what it will take....u cant guess how much delay this will cause but yes it will cause some delay.....did u attach IELTS with ur visa application and unconditional letter?

well for which term is the acceptance letter? has the term passed already? if so then u need acceptance letter for the next term

No it was for Jan 2014 from start,, I applied on sept 9 ,, well before my classes,,, CIC ask 3 months but I applied 4 months before classes,, don't know why they asked for new LOA ,,, but I thought they want unconditional LOA,,

I remember someone quoting on the forum that students for jan 14 can work off campus right away, so is it not correct?

Secondly, if one gets an on campus job, he can work from day 1 right?

I hate to say "I told you so" but....

The proposed changes are NOT confirmed until the CHANGES are ousted on CIC. So far, only the proposal is posted. I, mead and a few others said so already.

However, the CBIE link is interesting to read. They have some seriously good suggestions to amendments to the proposal and if having them implemented means there is a delay, then please do delay. The one about letting students work full time during the last semester is a seriously good one.

As much as it is painful to see how the bank statement is shrinking rapidly as nothing is coming in (unless you were lucky to find an on campus job), it will be worth waiting for the changes in the long run.

Some Changes has been made to Other CIC Regulations but not Study Permits .

Just because what we are all hoping for isn't posted, doesn't mean it isn't happening tomorrow. It doesn't mean it is either.

All we can do is sit tight and weight for when they do take effect.
