Hi guys,
I need a urgent suggestion, quick help would be much appreciated.

I had ordered GCMS through my cousin in Canada. I had given his address in the consent form. Now today he has changed his address due to some reasons.
The consent form has his older address. Will that impact my application or the GCMS notes?

Thanks

No. The GCMS notes are usually released electronically as long as they are under 5 MB.

Not to worry, if you elected to receive the information electronically then the change in the physical address does not matter. IRCC ATIP can deliver files via email up to around 20 MB. If the file is too large to deliver in one email then they may split the information in multiple emails or may send you a CD via postal mail.

There is no need to be concerned. The Note 1 and 2 pertain to administrative.

For s15 see https://bit.ly/35mwv4X

Most likely your security is in progress or completed.

See my previous post on this available at #4,004

Hope this helps!

Hi @legalfalcon . Thank you very much for your time

I have got a little bit confused here. I have checked the previous post but couldn't find anything similar.

My AOR is Feb 29, 2020. I called IRCC after 5 months and the agent told me eligibility and criminality passed and security under process. I ordered a GCMS note on 17/08/2020 and the result is attached.

Eligibility: Passed
Security: Not Started
HIRV:
Criminality: Passed
Org Crime:
Medical: Passed
Misrepresentation :
Info Sharing: Complete
Other Reqs:
Final:

Does it mean they have not touched the security check process yet? I thought the security check starts right after eligibility passes! and why the agent told me it is under process? I am wondering if you could shed some light on this. Thanks again

Hello @legalfalcon ,

I applied the GCMS notes (Privacy Act) for my brother. I submitted the request on his behalf and also uploaded the consent form. He is not in Canada and is the principal applicant. I have a PR and based on the different answers I found on this forum - some people said that they were able to get GCMS notes for their spouse just because they are related to them.

Do you think I should apply for the ATIP instead?

Pls do let me know, thanks

You can only request information for your self or your application in which your spouse is added or sponsored under the Privacy Act. To request for anyone else, you have to do it under the Access to Information Act.

  • 12 (1) Subject to this Act, every individual who is a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident within the meaning of subsection 2(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Acthas a right to and shall, on request, be given access to
    • (a) any personal information about the individual contained in a personal information bank; and
    • (b) any other personal information about the individual under the control of a government institution with respect to which the individual is able to provide sufficiently specific information on the location of the information as to render it reasonably retrievable by the government institution.

What do the notes in the last 3-5 pages say about eligibility. Has it been conclusively passed by an officer or just by an analyst.

I assumed eligibility has passed. it is not right?

@ptaghavi Not yet. The final Officer review is yet to be done. He's the one who'll finally pass the Elibility and either Initiate the Security or Pass it if it was already initiated.

Unless, the notes on the 2nd page mention "Passed" for "Eligibility, it would be too soon to determine whether your file has moved ahead in the system. From the notes, It seems your file has not been reviewed by a case analyst or visa officer. Till the time the file is not cleared by them, it would be incorrrect to assume that your eligibility is passed.

No, the note 2 is a note by the case processing agent. The eligibility is only passed after a final note by an officer. Not sure what Note 1 pertains to, which should be the most recent one in your GCMS notes.
