For those of you that ordered the GCMS notes themselves, has anyone ordered GCMS notes +, with the entire file of application and how do you ask for that on the ATIP online request website ?

On the request, these are the two options so choose the one you want, the second option when I selected that I got a million pages of everything including a photo copy of docs and even the envelope I sent the file in by mail so prob that's the one you want

Hello everyone,

I managed to order GCMS notes and they came back in 30 days. In my demand I had mentioned that I also wanted all the support documents provided when I applied for the permit. This was at the border. They sent me only the GCMS notes and a picture of me as well as the email of the biometrics. Does that mean that the support documents were not scanned then or that they were already destroyed ? That was in 2019.
Thanks

Hi everyone,

I ordered GCMS notes myself and it has been almost two months but I am yet to receive it.

When I ordered the notes, the only mail I got was:

"You have successfully submitted your request under the Access to Information Act to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. Your temporary request tracking number is XXXXXXX. After your request has been registered, a new number will be assigned to your request."

Please, what do I need to do?

Thank you.

Hello dears. I have just received my CBSA report and in that report there is "Eligibility: Review Required" comment under Assessments section. But there are no any clarifying notes in the whole document which could give me some more detailed information as to what this comment has been made.. I mean there is no Officer's Notes section in the CBSA report where I could find some useful information.. Could anyone pls clarify if the Officer's Notes section is typically included in a CBSA report or it should be only in an IRCC report..?!

Hey guys,

Is it currently still advised to request GCMS notes as soon as R10 is passed?
My AOR is November 24 2022 and Medicals passed on December 20th 2022.
Is it okay to order them now?

I'm in a similar boat. AOR Nov 28, Med Passed Dec 12, 2022. I ordered my GCMS Notes today. I have biometrics already submitted from my original work permit in 2019, but not applied to application yet, so i'm just having a look to see what's been done between MEP and now.

What is the best time to order GCMS?
While there is a lot of difference of opinion in when to order, but the simple answer is after R10. R10 is a strict review where it is the responsibility of the applicant to make sure that his application is complete. If the application is incomplete, it is rejected and nothing much can be done, except re-filing it. Once your application crosses this stage, which is usually within the first month, that is the right time to order GCMS notes.

See page 1 of this post.

Out of curiosity, when you order GCMS Notes, do they release the information based on the day you applied for them? or as of the date that they process the request?

Hi legalfalcon. Firstly thank you for all the helpful information and the deciphering of gcms notes for all the members.

I was wondering if I sent you my gcms notes by DM could you look at them and tell me if my application is nearing completed or should I expect it to take alot longer. My pr application is showing 100% complete on my account, I received my gcms notes after 4 months of waiting and since the middle of December I have had no update or received any correspondence or acknowledgment of the requested documents I sent to Etobicoke cic. If you could have a look over them and help me understand if my application is going in the right direction it would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I am not representing you and neither can I review your GCMS notes. None of my responses are legal advice and neither should they be construed as such.

All GCMS notes are generated a few days after the request is placed. The date of generation is listed at the bottom of each page of the GCMS notes. How your application looked on the date of generation of the GCMS notes is what is reflected in your GCMS notes.
