Congrats Saadileo , i am from India , waiting for my visa . My program is MEng in petroleum Engineering from University of Alberta starting sep 7th 2011.

coulld you please guide me regarding Admission in Uni of Alberta

i have Done bachelors ind Electronics Engineering and Want to Master in Electrical and Computer Engineering
i was having Programme to Do M.Eng but Uo Alberta is not offering in Winter so i wnt to apply for research based master MASC
my CGPA is 3.77/4 and IELTS is 6.0
but My Medium of instrucation solely in English so would em eligible for Uo Alberta

Hi mawais, hope u r doing well. Ur CGPA is excellent but the problem is with ur IELTS for MEng the requirement is atleast 6.5 overall and atleast 6 in each module. As far as MASc is concerned , it is relatively difficult for foreign students to get admitted . My advice to you is first retake the Ielts , try scoring 7 overall and then with all ur academics and co curricular record U should approach the concerned faculty(associate or professor) of the program and try to convince them that U r gud enuf for a seat in MASc. But with MEng U rarely end up being upset.

Actually UoA Representative told me that if my Medium of instrucation is English than i only have to provide English Proefficency letter

me 2 also confused as you have guided me because in MASC programme it is very difficult to get Admission...........

i am too upset bcz No institue is Accepting Appllication for M.Eng for winter 2012


have u any idea of any institute Accepting Applications??????????????

By the grace of Allah, I got 2 year multiple study permit today. Here is my timeline:

Applied :May 16th 2011
Medical :July 2, 2011
Medical done :July 11, 2011
Passport returned :July 13, 2011
Visa issued :August 5, 2011 (visa was stamped on July 27, 2011)

I want to specially thank everybody on this forum for their altruistic support, may you all get your visas in time.

Could you please tell us, you got visa with single entry or the one with multiple entries?

Is there any date mentioned on your “Letter of Introduction” by which you must enter Canada.
I mean its expiry date or so.

If yes then please tell how long does the “Letter of Introduction” stay valid from the date of issue?

Multiple entry,date of expiry is the same date as the expiry date of visa
