My alcohol offences were over 7 years ago, do I need to apply for a TRP or will they just let me in at the border. I have a cruise ship leaving Vancouver for Alaska in June of this year. I will leave airport for the cruise ship! thanks

Good thing too. Because if it had been less than five years, you'd be out of luck. Extremely unlikely you would have been granted a TRP just to go on vacation. TRPs are for critical / emergency situations (e.g. sick parent in Canada).
that's good news, the web site is very hard to comprehend. should I just take paperwork to Vacouver and hope they let me board the cruise ship? the cruise is expensive and want to be sure I will be allowed. thanks
