Being a Chemist professionally, i would like to ask which province shall be preferred considering job opportunities. Also i have relatives in Toronto, Ointario but some of my friends still advising me to fill the application form for Alberta.

Also is it possible that first if i arrive in Alberta but then move to Toronto easily?

Please guide.

Thanks.

Well, does it really matter which province you put on you application if you are applying through FSW. Secondly, Alberta is good for jobs but mostly they are in oil & gas, engineering, and construction management.

Yes, you can arrive in AB and then move on to somewhere else. but that cant happen straight away. You have to wait to fulfil certain PR's requirements

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
If you apply as an FSW, it doesn't really matter where you land except possibly you can't land in Quebec because they have a different immigration program but you can move as soon as you land. You are not at all bound by the city you put down on the forms to begin with.

If you apply as a QSW, you are signing that you intend to live in Quebec and you are under their program so it would be advisable to land in Quebec and at least stay for a couple of months so if anybody asks about it later that you could at least say you made an attempt to settle there. Same with PNP's. I have never heard of a provinces immigration department going after anybody who didn't stay but if they decide that you lied on your application saying that you planned to settle in their province, they could potentially give you big problems with CIC.

Salmaan,

As far as I can say, and actually people whom I contacted said, having connections in Canada is an important factor through which you can have a job offered to you. There are many highly qualified professionals applied for PR but just because they're not physically in Canada, employers don't trust to offer them jobs.

If I were in your shoes, I would immediately prepare an up-to-date resume and send to my in-law. He should of great help to you, if he wants!!

Good luck.
