Basically. To get a nomination from Alberta, you have to prove that you the Province is going to benefit from you (paying taxes, working for their firms, etc.)
This is what was said in one of the documents i received from AINP today.
"At the time your application is postmarked and at the time the AINP assesses your application, you must:
Have an active Express Entry (EE) profile in the federal EE pool, and
Intend to and be able to live and work in Alberta, and
Working in an occupation that supports economic development and diversification, and
Have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 300.
If you are able to demonstrate one or more of the following adaptability factors, this may increase the likelihood of your being invited to apply under the Alberta Express Entry Stream:
Alberta work experience or valid job offer;
Alberta education; and
Alberta relative: parent, child, brother and/or sister. "
I have been in Alberta for 10 years now, went to junior high, high school and university and have been working for over a year and my parents have PR and live in Alberta as well. Which is probably the reason why i got the letter so fast, as all of this is also noted on my express entry profile.
