Hi everyone,

I am planning to attend a PG Certificate in Ontario (Jan 2023). However in the mean time, both me and my husband have our profiles in the Express Entry already. I will be the one studying while my husband will be the one working (that way we can also get into the CEC stream). We hope to get the Alberta PNP and looking for more info:
- Is it possible to get an NOI from Alberta during my study in Ontario?
- If we happen to be nominated when I am still studying (it is a 2 year pg cert), do we have to reject / can we move once my study ends?

I have been looking for these info but could not find any. Hopefully anyone can shed some light

thank you

I have a previously approved Alberta nomination case that I withdrew due to the return of IRCC application (incomplete).
Wish you all the best of luck!
Congrats! Awesome to hear you got your nom. Best of luck for the rest of the process!

Hi folks,
Is there anyone here who received the NOI letter with NOC of 4011? I am doing a postdoc at Uof A and wondering if this NOC code is better than the other NOC that I can use (2112)? I don't have a chance of getting PNP through the AOS. So I am hoping to receive an NOI for Alberta express entry! thanks!

This is categorized as dual intent applicant.

IRCC EE Profile Created: 11 Feb 2022 (CRS 393 - CEC/FSW)
Alberta Express Entry Stream (EE) (Tech Pathway) Created/Submitted: Feb 16 2022
NOC: 2241
Certificate Issued: 28 Feb 2022
ITA (PNP): 01 MAR 2022 (CRS adjusted 1061)

I already have a PR Spousal Class Application in since November. Would it be worth submitting the EE one as well? I don't mind paying the application fees, just don't know which one would come through quicker?

Hi, your postdoctoral fellowship contract states your position; PDF NOC is 4011 and changing it may be considered misrepresentation. You may do so at the risk of being barred from obtaining Alberta nomination for 5 years!

Congrats on your nomination & ITA!

As for processing speed, that's really difficult to say. I've heard of examples of both types of applications getting stuck in limbo for a long time, sadly. From posts on this forum I think anecdotally EE may (?) be faster, but unfortunately we can't predict anything of that sort. That said, your spousal sponsorship got a headstart of several months..... You may want to ask a consultant what they think.

... also, I am low-key jealous of that extremely fast turnaround on your ATP nomination. Ironically, I work in tech in a tech profession that isn't part of the list of tech NOCs..... I try not to think about it every day...... and so I wait for my regular, run-off-the-mill, non-ATP application to be processed.

Hello Guy,
I currently have 370 CRS Score with NOC Code 2132 Mechanical Engineer with 5 Years of experience.I am currently living in India.
1) can i still get AANP Nomination ?
or do i need specific CRS score to get nominated?

2) should I make EE Profile first or make profile on AAIP?

3) What are my chances to get NOI?

1. Maybe
2. You need an EE profile to be nominated.
3. Alberta doesn’t post the NOCs selected, so don’t know.
