Hi All, I have query for you guys. Actually, i have a master degree in economics and I have done ECA for the same. But, I am currently working in a software house as a software developer and designer.

Can I use 2173 noc code (software designer) in EE profile? Because I don't have compatible education same as experience. Thanks
Yes you can use the NOC.

Thank you very much for your reply. Very helpful! I am glad that I won't have to work in my primary NOC because I am looking to pivot my career toward general management roles.

I have a few follow-up questions, if you don't mind:

- The provincial clearance thing is interesting. I tried looking it up online but couldn't seem to find much on it. Is there a resource you could link me to with more information?
- My understanding after some surface-level Googling is that once you get your PR card, you are basically free to move anywhere within Canada under the Freedom of Mobility clause of their Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Maybe it doesn't apply to PNP PRs?
- I confirmed that I indeed only have two weeks to reply to the NOI. Assuming they invite me to apply, how long do I have to submit my documents?
- Would it be an issue if ~2 years of my work experience is in my primary NOC and ~1.5 years under a different NOC? I got promoted from Engineering to Sales Management at my place of work, and am wondering if this would be an issue with my application.
- How important is it to have maintained the min. account balance in the past 6 months? I have moved around a lot in the last year and haven't kept that minimum balance in my personal account. I found out that there's a workaround to this where you can get money from your family along with a declaration letter that they are giving you that money as a gift and do not expect repayment. Is that legit?

Thank you once again for your help! I'm trying to make sure I don't rush my decision. I have a decent CRS (476) but don't want to be in a situation where I let this go and FSW draws don't resume in the near future. Cheers!
1. Provincial clearance : This is something which I have heard from someone. It makes lot of sense, otherwise the provinces have no reason to nominate outlander. So please do check it if you have some source.
2. If one gets PR through FSW route, then he/she is free to move to any province. But this is not applicable for PNP nominated candidates as per what I have learnt. Please do check it.
3. You may check the AINP portal and refer to your mail for details.
4. Decide your primary NOC based on which you want them to evaluate your candidature. They need minimum 1 year experience in the primary NOC. Rest should not be an issue I guess.
5. Minimum account balance : - Please read the guidelines from the immigration website regarding proof of fund. I am not sure if they will consider the gift money from a family member, so please check it if this is acceptable.

Hope this helps. But please do a thorough understanding of the whole matter by readingthe authorized website and decide accordingly.
Cheers !

Please guys I need your advice regarding an issue I recently noticed in my application. It turned out that I submitted a reference letter for my current noc rather than the noc for which I was given an NOI for. Do I send an email submitting a new reference letter for that NOC and a letter of explanation attached to it or do I be silent about it till the assessing officer requests the information? I am so scared at this point, I can’t believe I made this error and I don’t like misrepresentation at all.
Extract from AINP Documents check list : -

Candidate only:
• Upload reference letter(s) for:
 your current employment
 your previous employment from Canada and outside of Canada (if applicable).

  • All reference letter(s) must be signed by a manager or supervisor from the company.
  • All reference letter(s) must be on the company letterhead and must include:
    •  job title
    •  salary
    •  period of employment including start date and end date for each occupation
      performed
    •  hours of work per week
    •  main job duties you perform on a daily basis* (see note below)
    •  education required
    •  skills and knowledge necessary for duties

The assessing officer had requested for proof of documents for my sibling. On the checklist it was not one of the documents to provide as my sibling is not in Alberta. I hope this isn’t bad luck.
Did you mention in the EE profile that you have a sibling in Alberta. If yes, then you may have to provide the address details and other information for them to evaluate your application.

Does IRCC accept it if work experience letters are signed digitally directly on the pdf file like using Acrobat? @legalfalcon thanks
Digital signatures are be fine as long as the contact details of the person signing on the document is available. You may attach explanation letter for not able to obtain original sign. In some cases IRCC may contact the company to verify the sanctity of the document.

So I can just send an email to update my reference letter for my primary noc code, right? A letter of explanation can also be added too, right?

Thanks again for all your help, @Raulf!

I got in touch with an immigration consultant today who I have worked with before and got some useful information from him as well.

The only thing that is bugging me is the proof of funds, because I haven't maintained the minimum balance in my own account during the last 6 months. At what stage of the application process do they ask for bank statements?

One more thing: I had applied for a Canada study permit last year and was verbally approved over a phone call from the embassy, followed by a PPR. However, my plans changed and I decided to go to a different country for my MBA, so I never sent in my passport to get the Canadian visa stamped in it. I noticed on the IRCC portal that my study application now shows as "Refused". Will this be an issue for the PR process? Will showing the PPR convince IRCC that the only reason my application shows up as "Refused" is because I never sent them my passport?

Cheers!
