Hey just a question here - I'm on this stage too. How do you know if they're in the employer verification stage? Does the status of your application on the AINP portal change?

In theory it should update to "Information Requested." I don't think there's a specific status for info requested from the employer.

One more update: I was given a call from AINP officer and she asked me following;
Date off birth
Did I study in canada
My job title
My start date for my current job title
My job duties (a brief description)
My email address
She also said that I will get my decision either today or tomorrow.

No the status on my portal changed to “assigned for assessment” on 23rd March and I got a call from AB government on same day. She asked me the questions I have mentioned and approved my nomination within 5 mins of finishing the call.
This is because the company I work with is well known and I have had couple of co-workers over past few years applying for stuff through AINP and in all of there scenarios too my HR or my workplace never got any calls or emails from government .

No you do not get any notification.

I got NoI 23rd March 2022. I am just double checking my information. It is showing that i have to pay fees which is around $500. Can I make changes in my EE profile? What I have to do next?

I am living in India. No studied for visited Canada yet. I arranged job offer letter. Actually, one of my friends working in Alberta and he has good contact, so he arranged interview for me and NOC is also in demand list. This is how i got the job. Then after i applied and got the NoI

The fee payment should happen right around the same time when you submit your application (at least in the EE stream; I don't know about any other streams). Step 5 on https://www.alberta.ca/aaip-alberta-express-entry-stream-how-to-apply.aspx
