AISH /CPP disability and sponsorship

Hi all,
I am currently receiving aish and cop disability for a chronic pain disorder. I am waiting to sponsor my spouse to come here and was wondering if receiving AISH would impede my ability to sponsor him?

You can sponsor if you are on disability. However your spouse should be working in his home country and you should provide evidence of this in your application. While there is technically no income requirement to sponsor a spouse, it's still possible to be refused for this reason if the sponsor isn't working and IRCC has concerned the applicant will require financial support from the government when they arrive in Canada. For this reason, you want to show that your husband is employed now and state that he has plans to continue working once in Canada.

He is working as a cook in Italy. But do you know if there are any types of disability incomes that would prevent me from sponsoring? I receive cpp and aish
