Hi there,

I bought my wife her plane ticket to come to Canada..but as you know, when you need to enter the first and last name, latinos usually have two first name and two last name...so, my wife's initial are J.P.R.S.

So, i went and entered the information First name, second name and last name (just one case for this) I entered both in the same case.

Now the ticket name is the following: J.RS (no separation)...

Her passport has the full name JPRS and so does her identification card..

Do you think it might be a problem and air canada will think it's not the same name????

Best way to find out is to call the airline directly and tell them what happened. They have seen it all before so they probably have a quick answer for you.

I don't think it would be problem as long as she has the ticket or e-ticket printed and an ID card with her but you can check with Air Canada for peace of mind.

It's Air Canada. 30 minutes is just the start... if you hit two hours, MAYBE they forgot about you.

Remember Air Canada's motto: "We're not happy until you're not happy..."

I had a similar situation but it was in a local flilght & they didn't care. Its good that you checked with them as this was an international flight so the Air Canada crew would be local.

For some reason whenever I called I got the question answered or problem resolved in 10-15 mins.. might be just pure luck ;D

Sounds pretty lucky to me. I don't think I've had AC pick up the phone inside of 30 minutes EVER. Then it takes them another half-hour (or longer) to figure out how to fix their screw-up as that is inevitably what triggered my phone call.

You know what I think I know why. I called them late at night so their lines weren't as busy as during the day time.

Don't worry they issued my ticket the same way previously (actually twice) and I never had any problem.

By the way, congratulations!

Their lines are so busy, one time I called to book a flight and while on hold for 30 mins I found a $100 cheaper one on the internet from a different airline!

Pretty sure you don't need an answer by now.... But just in case. It will be no problem.
Send me a private if you need any clarification.

Hope she's already here!!!!!!
