Does this mean soon rain of final stage approvals?

"If you are a representative, please let your clients know about this important information.

You are receiving this notification because you have applied to study in Canada and passed the first-stage eligibility assessment.

While the COVID-19 pandemic has presented a number of challenges worldwide, Canada’s approach is aimed at protecting the health of Canadians and its residents while minimizing the economic and social impact of the health and travel restrictions.

After October 20, 2020, international students may travel to Canada only if they:

  • have a valid study permit or letter of introduction, and
  • will be attending a designated learning institution (DLI) with a COVID-19 readiness plan approved by the province or territory they are going to and listed on the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) website
With first-stage approval, your application is not yet finalized and you don’t have a valid study permit or letter of introduction. Until you receive final approval, you are not permitted to travel to Canada."

Firstly, not many will be with full applications.
Secondly, they will always filter and not approve all the applications suddenly, like we saw with the college list. They will always somehow control the flow of students, for the country's safety.

Well I don't think it is possible to filter for approved dli's as the list is being updated daily, & secondly its common sense it would be for completed files only :), but yea as they already mentioned dli should be approved I don't think so there is any need to filter that as they are already controlling it.

Yesterday IRCC held a webinar in which they said that final approvals will be prioritised for those whose DLIs are approved and have a complete application. So yes, they are filtering applications.

Also, the list will be updated every two weeks and not everyday. So the next set of approved DLIs will be added by the end of this month.
