I have received a Notification of Interest(NOI) from Alberta. I was asked to respond within 2 weeks, but I saw the mail after 3 weeks and immediately responded.
Can I expect them to consider my acceptance as I replied to them 1 week late?
I need all your opinions/ Suggestions

I remember seeing a similar case here recently and Alberta accepted their late response and sent them the portal link. Best of luck.

My question for today is

I have got a NOI from Alberta, but my IELTS score will expire on December 7 2021,

If I submit the Alberta Application today?

  • will my IELTS scores get locked after my application to Alberta PNP?
  • Will I be asked to take another test to keep the Express Entry profile valid?
  • Is it going to take Alberta more than 2 months to give me the additional 600 points?

Documents don't get "locked". If your IELTS has expired by the time your AINP application is assigned to an AINP officer for processing, your app is likely to be rejected. Nobody can tell you how much time it would take for Alberta to assign your app for processing. And although most applications do get assigned for processing, it is never guaranteed and your app technically may not even be assigned for processing due to reasons other than your IELTS.

Same as above. If your IELTS has expired by the time an IRCC officer looks at your file, it'll most likely be rejected. Officers only evaluate valid documents which have not expired. (Once you pass "eligibility" by IRCC, the expiry date of your IELTS becomes irrelevant. Until then, it must remain valid.)

  • Is it going to take Alberta more than 2 months to give me the additional 600 points?
Nobody can tell you how long your case will take. Could be 2 weeks, 2 months, 2 years, or even never.

The best course of action here would be to apply to AINP with your current IELTS and immediately take a new IELTS. Once you have your new IELTS results, update AINP and IRCC with it. Going with documents about to expire is never a good idea in EE. Try not to drop your IELTS score as it was likely a reason why you got a NOI.

Age and language tests are locked at AOR. You must get nominated successfully by Alberta first, and get the ITA and submit everything before getting an e-AOR.
