Hi

Applied for AINP program and recently received email asking to submit Passports for the Visa issuance. I have few questions:
1. What is the validity of the Visa?
2. My status was H1-B when I applied ,now it has changed to GC, should I inform the change of status.
3. I like to fly to Canada from my home country, is there any problem in it?

I really appreciate for the answers from the members.

Thanks

hmmm.. thats a tough one .. you can apply for both I guess, but if you get nomination from both provinces, you can only choose one to reside and towards application of permanent residency, also if they feel that your friend has stronger ties to other province, they might actually reject your application and maybe not be able to appeal either... so its best to apply for one province, Manitoba has online application for priorty applicats and you could get a response in like 3 to 6 months time, Ive heard AINP takes atleast a year to get nomination in most cases.. cheers

I have the same problem.

check this :

What happens if I am laid off? Change jobs? My H-1B visa expires? I move? Or I leave the U.S. before I obtain permanent resident status?
Your H-1B visa must be current and valid and you must be legally working in your eligible occupation at the time of final decision by the AINP. You are required to notify the AINP of any changes in your employment situation or change of address throughout the AINP process up to and including obtaining your permanent residence. You can notify the AINP by fax at 780-427- 6560 or by mail at:
