Hello,
I want some guidance on requirements for civil engineers applying for immigration under the AINP US Visa Category.
I have applied for immigration with NOC 2131 (Civil Engineer) but I am not a licensed Professional Engineer (PE). I am not sure if all the civil engineers who got nominated in this forum are all licensed PE's. Is it necessary/assumed that Civil Engineers who are applying under the US Visa Category be licensed PE's.
The reason I am asking this questions is because under the "AINP- Engineering Occupation category" in the AINP website it is written that "If the Candidate has engineering credentials and is working in an occupation under NOC 2131, 2132, 2133, 2134, 2141, 2143, 2144, or 2145, the Candidate must provide a “Letter of No Objection” from the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists, and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA) or demonstrate that they are registered with APEGGA as a foreign licensee".
Is a "Letter of No Objection" required for US VISA category too.
I would be grateful if nominated Civil Engineers under the AINP-US Visa Category share there experience.
Thank you.
