I have a question on one of the requirements stated re: AINP SRS-compulsory trade stream.
"A Candidate must be able to demonstrate that they are either currently working for an Alberta employer in their trade or have previously worked in the past two years with an Alberta employer in their trade."
I obtained Qualification Certificate (Journeyman welder) in Dec 2009 and also have an invitation from AIT to apply through SRS-compulsory trade. I worked as a journeyman welder for four months last year but was laid off in June due to massive layoff following economic slowdown in AB. I am still searching for a welder job position but have yet to secure a position as a welder, but am currently working in a different service sector with a new work permit.
My question: Am I still eligible to apply via AINP SRS-complulsory trade with AIT invitation letter and the Qualification Certificate? Is "four months over the last two years" good enough?
Waiting for your expert knowledge and advise. Thank you in advance.
