hi guys.

i just want to know how long does it usually take before the result comes out if your approve or denied for PR application under AINP?

and i also wanna know if my current employer has a part in sponsoring me or is it just the province (alberta) that sponsored me? will my application be affected if i look for another job?

Nominations are usually employer driven. If you are a Provincial nominee then your Province has sponsored you, and the reason they have sponsored you is because you have employment in your province which makes your eligible for being sponsored by the Province for PR. I am not sure what the regulations are for AINP as every province has its own set of rules about employment. But as far as i know, the general rule is you have to stick to the same employer till your PR Visa is issued. Then you may choose to continue with the same employer or a different one. If you have completed your medical examination and submitted additional documents, then CIC will only check your background to ensure you are not a threat to its Citizens.

I asked AINP about this once and they said you must stay with your employer until you have your PR or you would risk that they would withdraw your nomination. After you have landed as a PR, you can do whatever you want.

You have to ask AINP what their processing times are right now. After you get your nomination and apply for PR, the processing time depends on your visa office and you can look it up here:

How about if an applicant applied for AINP thru SRS-AWE?DO i have to stay with same employer before PR ,passed medical and so forth?
If nominated by a province like Alberta and application for CIC for PR have been submitted, what percentage/status am I on my application?

Need a piece of advise,upon checking to AINP website under employer-driven stream its doesn't said that I need to take a language test. Do I need to take a language test if I'm under NOC B?please help me thanks.

To you both: When I phoned AINP a few years ago they said you apply as an employee, you must stay with the same employer until you get your PR. Of course if you apply under some category that you are applying from outside Canada, then it does not matter but if you apply from inside AB with a job offer as a base, if you quit that job, your job offer is gone and the basis for your application is gone.

If AINP were to find out that you are no longer with your job offer employer, they could cancel your nomination and tell immigration to cancel your PR processing.

For any further info, you should talk to AINP themselves. Do not change employers until you have cleared with AINP that it's ok.

As for the processing times, the link I posted is only for the federal part processing times, that is after you get your nomination and have applied for PR already. It is not including the AINP processing times.

Thank you for that. However,I do need to find an employer who can issue LMO or have open LMO to be able to work.I will be in Alberta.Does BOWP applied to those who have been nominated within 4 months of their current work permit status validity, too?

you are welome charmevenus,

you don't need LMO if you are already nominated,the employer has to give you a job offer letter and you can apply for work permit using a work permit support letter which the AINP will issue for you once you need to apply for work permit,you simply just need to ask them.
as for BOWP after you get your nomination certificate you need to send your application to CIO sydney nova scotia and once you get your file number you can apply for BOWP if your current work permit is set to expire within 4 months.
please note that your BOWP will allow to work for any employer but only in alberta because its the province that nominated you to become a permanent resident.

Thank you for your reply. A lot has change, and that changed updated AINP program or categories on September 2013 which includes AINP-SRS-AWE -can sponsor yourself/myself without an employer but that last until November 28, 2013 only.
