I am an OCT applicant.

Application received Oct 30th, 2013, Medicals done on Dec 8, 2013.

CIC requested for RCMP Criminal record check on April 6th. I got it done April 10th.

My status is still "Application received".

When will it turn in process?
KEN, Akapoor please reply.

When did CIC received your RCMP documents? usually it takes from 2-3 weeks to turn into process after they receive your document.s

I don't know that. It doesn't show up on ECAS.

I just emailed CIC asking for confirmation but no response yet.

Just hang in there, it could turn into process very soon. Don't worry they are processing Oct applicants your turn will be soon.

Is there any other way to confirm if they received it or not other that emailing them?
I guess I am the only OCT applicant who is still application received. :'( :'( :'( :'(

.
If you chose the signature option when you send it, that's the only other way.
But you don't have to worry nothing as they are in the process of approving all the OCT applicants.
So take a chill pill & watch your email everyday

hi zkhan,
actually you are not the only one, some Oct apps are still waiting for in process.
did you ask RCMP ottawa to send the results to Sydney or you asked them to send it to you and then send it to Sydney? if you send it to Sydney by yourself, then it will be faster, coz Ottawa will use the regular mail to send to Sydney, it takes 2-3 weeks to update your online status after they receive your RCMP.
To be honest, it will be slower if they ask your RCMP, because of the time delay, after they receive it, it will be turn to ip soon.
Another thing is that, they give you PPR based on the FILE NUMBER: EPXXXXX,not the date of IP.

Yes agreed. They process files from the day they received your application.

hi akapoor, a friend of mine got PPR last night, his app was received on Oct 15, case turned to ip on March 21, and got DM on May 2nd, it looks like they are giving ppr based on file number EP xxx not the date of ip or DM

KEN, I made a dumb mistake.
I asked RCMP ottawa to send the results to Sydney. I honestly didn't knew about it back then otherwise I would have done it myself.
Its been more than a month since I did it and they told me that the maximum it would take them to send it is a month.

So I really hope CIC updates the status.. I will stay tuned.

Akapoor and KEN, I truly appreciate you guy's response.

@ akapoor ..

Thanks for the link .. actually i undestand how the notes structured..

what i need is if the others, who are DM or got PPR or even landed and ordered their GCMS notes, could share their history so i will know what are the steps after PV2 Review with its approximate timing so we, the people who stucked, can estimate their time.

of course each case is different but by more participation we can figure out what is the trend .

Yup, that is true.
