just make an appointment to do the fingerprint Brave, and ask ottawa to send it to you, and then you send it to Sydney, so you can track, some people asked RCMP ottawa send it to Sydney, it takes ages, hope that help. i did mine in January and asked them to send for me, coz i have lots of time at that time.

I did a search and here is the infor provided by another member: CIC requests name-based police clearances for all applicants, so usually you do not need to get an RCMP clearance. If the name check does not clear you, however (for example, if someone with a criminal record has the same name as you), then CIC will request that you do a fingerprint-based RCMP clearance.

I guess my name is too common.

remember to ask RCMP to send it directly to you, and then you use Xexpress to send it to Sydney, it is faster and safer. Good luck!

Let me correct you Netblizz, as a Cook nobody can apply under employer-driven category of AINP, it is an ineligible occupation. See at the bottom of this link. http://www.albertacanada.com/opportunity/immigrating/ainp-eds-skilled-worker-criteria.aspx
A cook can only apply in AINP on their own under the Compulsory and Optional trade category.

I did mine without request, just in case they ask you.
I sent mine to Sydney, they will not transfer out cases to Ottawa till the last step.
