Hi

My processing started on 27th October but received a e-mail request on 30th October for Finger Print Police Clearance Certificate from Canada. Someone told me that they randomly request for the same. I have already had my finger prints done on 1st October but still waiting for my medical request. Is anybody gone through the same situation.

From how long are you in Canada?
I reached Canada in the mid of August'2010, and I am not sure if they will ask me for the report from here as it is just around 3 months.
But, I will check my attorney.

Do you have any idea of the process for Canadian Fingerprinting report and how much time does it take?

My Status saying that they started process Oct'27.. But still I did not get any...

My problem is I moved to new address and informed CIC regarding that.. So I am being bit tension.. .

Are they sending mail by USPS? or some other mail service?

Please me know..

CIC submission : June'01, 2010
Cashed on : Aug' 18
Waiting for Medical request.. (Process started Oct'27)

Hope they will send to my new updated address.. .Praying God...

I have been in Canada for over 2 years. May be that could be the reason, the buffalo asked for it. Regarding Time line: I have checked RCMP Finger Prints Website and they claim that if the finger prints are submitted electronically then it could take up to 3 business days for them to process it unless they have not found any criminal record but if they find some information relating to your finger prints then it could take up to 120 days. In my case, my finger prints are done electronically so hope that the buffalo consulate has already received it. But the whole process has delayed my medical request as the applicants whom processing started after mine, have already received the medical request.

I too received this e-mail with request for Canada finger print police clearance. I have sent the finger print to RCMP Ottawa last friday. Is CIC going to ask for any further PCC ? I have been living in some other countries before coming to Canada ? and have sumbmittted PCC only for my native country!

Hi InEdm,

The rule is that if you live in any country more than 6 months, you will have to produce PCC. When did your processing start. They might ask your for PCC with your medical request.

Huff if it takes March then I'd be happy I'm taking a month long vacation in feb so have to have my passport with me until March, if the ppr request comes early I'm in trouble as they need the passport by 30 days. On another note how long it takes for Ottawa to get the medical?
